Item Description
1” wide by 7” long hard plastic link bracelet issued as “Betty’s Luminous Gardenia Bracelet” by Wheaties for only two weeks in 1941. Betty Fairfield was Jack’s cousin. The bracelet consists of four figural high relief plastic flowers representing gardenias mounted on green leaf segments. The fifth leaf segment has a clip that attaches to a loop on the opposite end. Originally issued with five flowers, this example had one uncoupled and removed to fit a smaller wrist. The bracelet is otherwise essentially Mint as made and glows brightly in the dark. Among the rarest Jack Armstrong premiums and we’ve seen only three examples. Our last exceeded $500. See next related item.
