Item Description
Frank Hawks was a skilled aviator. His career included being an air instructor during World War I, giving future aviatrix Amelia Earhart her first plane ride in 1920 and he set numerous speed and distance records. By 1935 he had his own radio program sponsored by Post. Each of these rings is brass with adjustable bands. The first has propeller and wing logo reading “Capt. Franks Air Hawks.” Second ring includes his high relief portrait accented by a propeller design to each side. This ring reads “Capt. Hawks Sky Patrol.” First ring is missing bright luster from the lower bands but has full luster on the top oval. Second ring has most luster remaining and is Exc. Robert M. Overstreet Collection. Comes with Hake’s COA.
