Item Description
3-3/8x5-3/8" postally unused postcard has wonderful photo showing 18 member team in uniform with "Campy" in back row second from right. Roy went on to make his debut in the Major Leagues in 1948 with the Dodgers. Photo also includes Lazaro Salazar. Trace of corner tip wear but a sharp clear team photo image. Wonderful early career item for the noted Brooklyn Dodgers catcher. Ex-Richard Merkin Collection. It sold (not SGC graded) in our June 2011 auction for $1,177.
