Brown was a star of the Negro Leagues for the Kansas City Monarchs helping them win six pennants in 10 seasons as well as playing briefly in the Major Leagues for the St. Louis Browns in 1947. He was inducted into the National Baseball HOF in 2006. Easterling was a five time All-Star in the Negro Leagues and played on four pennant winning Homestead Grays teams.
