Item Description
4-7/8x8-5/8" single-sided handbill for Aug. 26-27, 1966 concerts that took place at the Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco, CA. that featured 13th Floor Elevators, Sopwith Camel and The Great Society. Art by Wes Wilson features photo image of The Great Society lead singer Grace Slick, who went on to later fame w/Jefferson Airplane, Jefferson Starship and Starship. This concert took place shortly before Slick left The Great Society to join Jefferson Airplane. Lower right has been signed in pencil by artist Wilson. Handbill has some trace handling wear w/faint crease along bottom margin and minor corner bumps. VF. Scarce as signed. Comes with Hake's COA.
