Item Description
Lot of three handbills for concerts that took place at San Francisco's Avalon Ballroom. FD-28 measures 5-5/8x8.5" and was for Sept. 30 and Oct. 1, 1966 concerts that featured 13th Floor Elevators and Quicksilver Messenger Service. Art by Mouse Studios features man's face w/psychedelic stripe design. Handbill has been signed in pencil by Stanley Mouse below image, w/Mouse having drawn a running mouse sketch. Handbill has pinholes at corners and center of top/bottom margins w/noticeable wear and some scattered rust soiling from tacks. Faint .5" moisture spot on Oct. 1 pyramid design. VG, but signature still displays Exc. FD-18 measures 8.5x11" and was for July 28-30, 1966 concerts that featured Bo Diddley and Quicksilver Messenger Service. Art design by Mouse Studios features RCA Victor Nipper dog listening to Victrola, which emits psychedelic text. Lower left has faint crease and upper right has some edge wear to margin. Fine. Last handbill measures 5.5x8.5" and was for June 27, 1967 benefit concert for the Lick-Wilmerding High School and featured Quicksilver Messenger Service and Big Brother & The Holding Co. Art by P. Kibhall features overgrown house. Exc. Comes with Hake's COA.
