Item Description
1912 felt-covered 9.5x12.5" hardcover w/384 bw pages for event held in Stockholm, Sweden. Events included English football, sailing, rowing, equestrian, swimming and track and field. Great content w/extensive photos. Covers have lt. aging w/some corner tip wear. Fine. Title page has a few ink notes at top. Rest is VF/Exc. 1936 book is 10-3/8x14-3/8" softcover w/96 bw pages. Events include fencing, track and field, diving, wrestling, basketball, baseball and golfing. Page 14 has photo of Archie Williams running and page 17 has small photo of smiling Jesse Owens climbing rope. Second page has photo of Hitler. Covers have some lt. aging w/a few dust streaks along left side of front cover and moderate dust soiling on back cover, a few lt. handling creases. Fine. Contents VF/Exc. Both books have nice design and high quality photos. Ex-Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
