Item Description
Largest size tin litho shovel blade measures 6.25x7.25" and has attached 21" long wood handle. Ohio Art, 1930s. Image of Mickey Mouse testing the ocean water w/his finger as Minnie waves from under beach umbrella. Moderate wear to reverse of blade w/streak of bare metal along edge of blade. Front of blade has small traces of wear w/some minor paint nicks/scratches and trace of bare metal at edge of blade. Fine. Scarce. From the Doug & Pat Wengel Collection and this is the actual example shown in their book "Comic Character Metal Sand Toys."
