11x13x3.25" deep original but generic box contains complete 19-piece set. Made in Japan, 1930s. Box has "Toy Tea Set" label on one side and is complete w/foil-covered die-cut insert. Underside of lid has die-cut feature for holding items in set. Moderate scattered box wear w/lid corner split w/side panel missing 2.25" piece at corner. Box bottom has split along bottom right edge running entire length of box. Good/VG. Set consists of six 2.75" dia. by 1.5" tall cups w/four matching 3.75" dia. saucers, six 4.25" dia. plates, 2-3/8" tall creamer, 2.75" tall sugar (w/lid) and 4.5" tall teapot (w/lid). Undersides of saucers and plates are marked "Made In Japan" while underside of teapot is marked "Donald Duck - Copr. By Walt E. Disney - Made In Japan." Pieces feature a total of three different scenes which include Donald standing by pond (used on cups and teapot, but w/toy sailboat added on teapot), Donald standing by pond w/hands on hips (used on plates) and Donald waving his hat (used on saucers, creamer and sugar). Two cups have small chips on rims and sugar lid has glue repair to crack which split lid in half. Scattered lt. wear but aside from issues mentioned, set is glossy and Exc. Comes w/5-7/8" dia. circular serving dish w/small open handles at side and 4x6-1/8" oval serving dish, both feature matching Donald images used in set, w/larger dish having additional Donald Duck image standing beside Donald waving hat. Both are marked "Made In Japan" on undersides. Circular dish is Exc. Oval dish has some lt. wear and is VF. Doug & Pat Wengel Collection.
