Item Description
Original illustrated w/Winslow portrait envelope contains four-piece kit issued by Fleer's Dubble Bubble gum in 1940. Envelope has lightly tanned w/age and has some handling wear. Fine. Kit includes 4.5x6" "The Spirit Of The U.S. Navy" booklet presented by Don Winslow and Red Pennington, membership card that has been filled out in ink and 3x5" card that has facsimile "Don And Red" colored pencil signature and member button. 12-page booklet has historical illustrations/text. Bottom staple has some lt. oxidation, o/w Exc. Double-sided membership card has streak of aging and is Fine. "Signed" card has printed "May This 'Spirit Of The U.S. Navy' Inspire You With A Greater Love For Your Country" message. Lightly aged but Exc. 1.25" dia. "Group Leader - Don Winslow's League For Defense" button has some age spotting but remains bright and glossy. VG. Rare as a complete kit.
