Text chronicling the catastrophes that befall the boys differs from those on plates (see items #815-817) and include graphic illustrations that show boy chopping himself in half w/axe, being chased by giant bees, being eaten by whale, being hugged to death by polar bear and burning in the sun among other illustrations. Each page has spaces for each of the boys, decreasing by one each page as boy after boy meets his demise.
