Original cardboard box w/illustrated lid contains 5" tall, 7.75" dia. painted tin toy w/hard plastic dome on top covering jointed three-dimensional tin litho astronaut pilot figure (from the waist up), who sits at tin litho controls. Top of saucer has two plastic-tipped wire antennas and front features covered "Transparent Machine" bank of plastic gears that turn. Made in Japan by KO/Yoshiya, early 1960s. Box is complete w/cardboard inserts and original store price sticker on side. Lid has lt. even aging and general shelf wear w/.5" corner split to lid. Fine overall and still nice for display. All functions work, still produces loud noise, pilot's arms move and features working "Mystery Action." Top of ship has trace wear behind pilot cockpit. VF/Exc.
