Item Description
21.75x29.25" thin cardboard poster for July 25, 1964 concert that took place at Carr's Beach (a segregated beach) in Annapolis, MD. Concert featured Chuck Jackson, an R&B singer who was one of the first artists to successfully record material by Burt Bacharach and Hal David. Some of his hits, including "Any Day Now," "I Don't Want to Cry" and "I Wake Up Crying" are listed by his name, which notes him as "That 'Beg Me' Man," reference to another of his songs. A photo of Jackson is featured at right. Other performers at the concert are listed and include - The Moderneers Band w/vocalist My Man Dill. Printed by Globe Poster of Baltimore, MD. Poster has obvious wear along left margin w/moisture staining and 1/8x.75" sliver off margin at center and .25x.75" triangular tear at top left. Upper right and bottom corners have staple pulls. Poster still displays Fine overall. Rare.
