Item Description
15.25x23-5/8" paper sign for Libby's canned "Gentle Press" tomato juice, ©1936 Famous Artists Syndicate. Great art features Dick Tracy looking at Junior Tracy who flexes his arm. Bottom right has blank spot for pricing information, this remains unused. Sign was originally folded and horizontal fold line at center can be seen, but not too distracting. Sign has had some scattered minor color touch-ups as linen-mounted. Center right has 1x5" area of slightly darker staining to blue area. As for wear and touch-ups, very little of the Tracy art is affected. Sign retains bright and clean appearance w/choice, vibrant color and if matted and framed, would display nicely. VF overall. This is a file copy from the archives of premium creators Sam & Gordon Gold accompanied by a letter to that effect from Gordon Gold. Rare.
