Item Description
Largest 8.5x11"/smallest 3.75x8.5". First is small poster advertising an event "7:30pm Monday August 14" (1967) featuring "Margaret Kibbee" the MFDP candidate for sheriff in Sunflower County. Second is "Volume I Number 2" of the "CFS Newsletter". Concern For A Free South (CFS) was founded in 1967 in Sunflower Co. to combat the economic inequality found in the South by promoting co-operatives especially Liberty House and Freedomcrafts. Third is "The Crafts Of Freedom" mailer containing two order forms and eight sheets advertising products produced for sale by "Liberty House" a co-op of 150 African Americans formed to combat unemployment. Fourth is four page folded booklet titled "Freedomcrafts Of Mississippi" and advertises homemade candies and wood products made by co-ops in Mississippi.
