Lot of three 10x12" sheets of animation paper w/lead and red pencil publicity art for the 1937 animated short "Moose Hunters" that starred Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy. First sheet features full body images of Mickey and Donald wearing hunting hats, Mickey cradling a rifle in his arm. Donald holds rope w/noose/trap at end and looks suspiciously at "Free Moose Lunch" sign tacked to tree and dangling carrot bait. Second sheet has full body image of Donald on swing tied between the antlers of two shadowy moose. Last sheet shows Goofy w/rifle, looking for the moose who is in fact standing directly over him. Sheets are lightly aged and have some lt. handling wear to margins, each sheet has vertical crease, but art remains clean and Exc. overall. Art is attributed to Hank Porter and none of these scenes appeared in the finished cartoon. Great images.
