Item Description
Lot of eight trimmed sheets of animation paper ranging in size from 6.25x7.5" to 7.5x9". c. 1936-1937. Each sheet has red pencil border w/lead pencil (w/some preliminary brown pencil visible) art, each sheet featuring Doc, showing him thinking at stump, w/gavel and angrily banging gavel. Art appears to be part of a sequence, w/only a few sheets having red pencil numbers/designations at borders. Last two sheets feature Dopey sneaking up behind Doc to place a gem under the gavel. Sheets all have pinholes at corners and one sheet has .75x1.75" corner off (not affecting art) w/some scattered handling wear and even lt. aging, but art remains Exc.
