Pair of animation sheets w/lead pencil art attributed to Tom Wood and used to promote the 1936 Mickey Mouse animated short "Mickey's Rival." First sheet measures 9.5x12" and features 5.75x9.75" lead pencil publicity drawing showing angry Mickey looking on as Minnie and Mortimer Mouse race by in Mortimer's car. Sheet is lightly aged and has some lt. margin handling wear but art remains Exc. Second sheet measures 9-7/8x12" and features character studies for Mickey and Minnie, featuring two images of them together in Mickey's car, which is drawn in full once. Additional Mickey head study at right center w/two additional partial head studies. Left margin shows wear w/a number of small tears along upper margin. Right margin has vertical crease running 1.5" from margin edge. Sheet is lightly aged. Fine overall w/nice images showing character development.
