Item Description
4.25x5-3/8" unlined card w/"Brace Beemer" letterhead is dated Feb. 10, 1956 and has handwritten note in black ink from "The Lone Ranger" radio star Brace Beemer. Beemer served as the announcer for "The Lone Ranger" radio show from its first broadcast in 1933 and took over as the voice of The Lone Ranger from 1941 to the end of the series in 1955. The note thanks fan for writing and mentions he hopes the fan continues to listen to the radio show. Note goes on to mention TV's Lone Ranger Clayton Moore, saying "Of Course Mr. Moore Is Good On TV - So Keep Watching Him Too. I Don't Know Him But He Must Be A Fine Gentleman." This is interesting to note as Beemer had hoped to be cast for "The Lone Ranger" TV show, losing the role to Moore. Note has been boldly inscribed/signed "Cordially Brace B." Note has some scattered aging and is VF. Comes w/vintage 1940s exhibit card featuring Beemer in Lone Ranger costume. Exc. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA COA.
