Item Description
10.75x25.25" frame contains original 8x22.75" panoramic photo of campers and camp staff at the 1936 "Lone Ranger Camp" that was held at Kamp Kee-Mo Sah-Bee, a boys' camp on Mullett Lake, MI. established by Charles W. Yeager in 1916. A total of 41 young campers are pictured here, along w/eight instructors/camp helpers, two horses and camp dog. Campground can be seen in bkg., along w/bus and some vehicles. "Photo By Hagle" as noted in small in-photo text at bottom right. "Lone Ranger Camp - Mullet Lake, Michigan" in-photo text at bottom center. Photo was featured on page 45 of David Rothel's "Who Was That Masked Man? The Story Of The Lone Ranger" book and is the only known photo of the camp to exist (other publications have copied photo from Rothel's book). Photo has some aging and scattered lt. handling wear to margins w/some vertical creases at edges, but none overly distracting from main image. Photo is Fine as framed. Comes w/reading copy of the book mentioned above, which mentions the camp on three pages. Book has been signed on front endpapers in black felt tip pen "I Hope You Enjoy My Book On The Lone Ranger And His Indian Friend Tonto. Best Wishes, David Rothel" w/Rothel adding "10-27-87" date. Dust jacket shows wear and is Fine overall. Book itself is Exc. w/just minor corner tip wear. Great reference book. A unique piece for the Lone Ranger collector.
