Item numbers 1 through 987 in auction 215
Item Description
The first two items are each 1.25” real photos in sepia. The first includes Minnesota governor candidate Van Sant. This is Hake #127. No back paper. Second shows them with Michigan governor candidate Bliss. This has back paper from Shepherd Photo, St. Paul. Last is unusual 7/8” litho showing McKinley with governor candidate Tanner along with text “Illinois 1896.” Rather than a pin the reverse of this has a pair of long and narrow fold over tabs. The Bliss button has a couple of tiny brown dots on the far left which was in the development of the photographic paper. All three items are glossy and Exc. The combined values in the Hake guide in 2004 is $272.
