Item Description
The button is 2-1/8” with spring pin holding 4” ribbon. Reverse has light dust on the W&H back paper, back paper has four digit inked number and there is a tiny notch out of the metal collet as made, causing no problem. While the celluloid displays very cleanly and with high gloss, in reflected light are tiny evidences of a little surface crazing where the pair of circles picturing the state seal and TR intersect. There is some limited additional microscopic crazing. Ribbon has dusty tone to it but gold lettering is largely intact and easily readable as: “Delegate/State Republican Convention/March 3, 1904/Norfolk, Va.” A rarity that still displays very nicely. Julie Powell Collection.
