Item Description
This Hake unlisted item is 5-3/8” tall. At top is a cardboard panel held in a tin frame with large safety pin on reverse. This suspends a red ribbon with a second tin frame at the center holding a large real photo of TR. At bottom a tiny ribbon joins to a gold colored white metal Rough Rider hat with upturned brim. Hat brim has hand inked initials done at the time “T.R.” The red ribbon split just below the top hanger and again just below the bottom panel with both areas are repaired on the reverse by both adhesive tape and scotch tape. The only visible evidence of this from the front is a narrow split below the bottom panel. Very light wear on the upper text panel and just a tiny dot rub off his jacket on the portrait panel. Rare and Fine. See additional Roosevelt Hat In The Ring items #295-299. Rare.
