Item Description
3.75” tall and unlisted in Hake. This piece is entirely made of celluloid with the exception of a safety pin fastener on the top reverse celluloid panel which also carries the name of maker W&H. Back of the celluloid in rather light colored ink has the name and Virginia town of the original owner. Front of the piece reads “Souvenir/Virginia/State Republican/Excursion/Hot Springs/August 21, 1908.” In addition to it being a very unusual all celluloid badge the item is certainly rare given its one day very limited use.
