Item Description
1-5/8x2-3/8" Cuban card from set distributed in packs of Diaz cigarettes. The cards in this set feature players from the 1923-1924 Cuban Professional League. 85 cards are in the set, the largest and one of the scarcest of all 1920s Cuban card issues. Printed in dark brown w/photo on front along w/team, player name and position "Habana B.B.C. Campos (Manzanillo) Outfielder." Card back includes number and description of the series w/offer for an album. Margin trim but card remains clean and image is bold. A Cuban-born pitcher who also played in the Negro Leagues for Cuban Stars East & West. Designated by SGC as being from the "Richard Merkin Collection" and comes with Hake's COA.
