Item Description
3-3/8x5-3/8" nice quality. Shows integrated Wisconsin team w/the inclusion of George Wilson who is seated at left. Text at bottom reads "Manitowoc 1907" and lower right has photographer's name "Melendy" and date. Postcard reverse has been used w/penciled address and a postmark. Lt. corner tip wear and aging but front is glossy w/bold and sharp image. Fine. Wilson was an early Negro League pitcher who played for the Page Fence Giants 1895-1898, Columbia Giants 1899-1900 and Chicago Union Giants 1901-1905. An early and historic item for Negro League collectors. Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
