Item Description
Original 8x10" glossy showing team in uniforms posed on a ball field w/empty stadium seats behind them. Standing third from the right is Duke Snider, just prior to his super stardom in the Major Leagues. After his success w/the Royals of the International League in 1948 in which they won the league championship, Snider was called up mid-season to join the Brooklyn Dodgers (having previously played w/them some of the 1947 season). 1949 was then a breakout year for Snider and he would go on to be an eight-time All-Star, two-time World Series champion and HOF member. Lt. handling wear, pair of corner pinholes. Sharp image. Fine. A great early item for "The Duke Of Flatbush." Richard Merkin Collection and comes w/Hake's COA.
