Item Description
Original 7x9" glossy w/attached text sheet on reverse and ink stamp for "International News Photos." Title is "Collision At Home" and photo is an action-packed game image of HOFer Campanella tagging out Martin at home plate. This is from the fourth game of the series which the Brooklyn Dodgers won over the New York Yankees 7-3. However, NY would win the series 4-2. Text sheet notes "Mickey Mantle Singled To Left" but ultimately Martin got "Caught At The Plate For The Final Out." Some aging to the sheet but photo is Exc. Richard Merkin Collection and comes w/Hake's COA.
