Original 4.5x6" glossy showing three players in uniforms standing at dugout w/spectators in bkg. The Tigers were Cuban League champions of the 1936-37 season. From left to right are Agustin Bejarano, Alcibiades Palma and HOFer Martin Dihigo who was the team's player/manager. What elevates this photo is the personal touch Dihigo added. On the reverse top margin he wrote in ink "Marianao 1937" as well as the last names of the other two players and signed his last name as well. Below this are penciled publication notations. Noticeable handling wear w/vertical crease along right and left margins. Other handling creases, .5" tear at bottom center, small traces of surface paper off three corners. Image remains sharp. Reverse has trace of aging. Minor bit of surface paper loss to end of Dihigo's signature but all remains distinct. VG overall. Comes w/JSA LOA. Personally owned by Martin Dihigo and comes w/COA signed by his son Gilberto Dihigo.
