Item Description
Large 32.25x45.5" frame contains open canvas w/original oil paints art by F. Sands Brunner (1886-1954), an artist who provided cover art for "The Saturday Evening Post" and "Country Gentleman" as well as provided cover, interior and advertising illustrations for many other major publications in the 1930s and 1940s. Art shows great scene of returning soldier riding bicycle w/his sweetheart seated on the handlebars, a bottle of soda in her raised hand. This art was most likely commissioned for either a soft drink advertisement or as a calendar illustration. Reverse has "Ketterlinus Lithographic Manufacturing Company" label w/"4-10-42" date. Art is unsigned and Exc.
