Item Description
Original cardboard box w/illustrated lid contains 14.5" tall tin litho robot. Marked "Made In Japan" as well as "Amico Imports," 1960s. Lid shows obvious wear w/2.5" corner split and 3.5" and 7" tears/splits at top side panel. Bottom side panel has four small punctures and lid has all over aging. One corner has streak of moisture staining. Good/VG. Robot includes instruction sheet and has the three tablet pads, missing three generic pencils. Pads are complete w/10 sheets each, including top sheet w/"Answer Game" text at top. Two pads have penciling on top sheet while other remains unused. Instruction sheet shows moderate handling wear. VG/Fine. Pads have scattered lt. tanning and tan stains. Fine. Toy is designed to add/subtract by using the numbered buttons and levers w/answer visible on the screen on its chest. As robot is calculating, one of its eyes will flash, w/either minus/plus symbol depending upon calculation. Disc under clear plastic dome on head also spins and when total is revealed, screen lights up. Robot has .5" dent on top front of head and is o/w bright and glossy. When viewed straight on, robot displays VF. Toy works. Rarely found complete w/answer game pads.
