Item Description
Original 6.5x8.5" glossy silver gelatin photo w/great game action photo of Dihigo attempting to tag out a sliding Pedro Pages of the Mexico City Reds. Reverse has inked notation in Spanish to this effect. From the year the "Blues" won their first League pennant, lead by multiple HOF member Dihigo. The Veracruz team was owned by millionaire Jorge Pasquel who signed many standout American and Cuban players, raiding both Negro League and Major League baseball. Moderate aging and scattered creasing. Margin trim. Few small margin tears w/clear tape on reverse. Photo remains glossy and image is bold. VG. Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
