Item Description
22x28.25" thin cardboard poster for Nov. 29, 1958 concert presented by Sigma Phi Fraternity Tau Chapter that took place at the Indian Spring Country Club in Marlton, NJ featuring Doo-Wop group Fred Parris and The 5 Satins, known for their hit song "In The Heat Of The Night," which is listed beside group photo at upper right. Concert also featured Shirley and Lee, The Heartbeats, Lee Allen and His Orchestra, The Dubs as well as Charlie and Ray, all of whom are pictured on poster w/song titles listed. Poster features wonderful day-glo colors, w/gradated blue and green bkg. colors and was printed by Globe Poster of Baltimore, MD. Upper left/right and top margin have streaks of faint moisture staining, as does lower right corner. This mostly affects just the margin area, w/colors remaining bright and vivid. If framed, poster would display VF. Scarce.
