Item Description
Mellon resigned as bank president in 1921 and served as Secretary of the Treasury 1921-1932. Original 13x16" frame with glass holds large matte finish photo with accent lines on two sides. Signed "To Leroy T. Vernon With Best Wishes Of A.W. Mellon." About a dozen small rubs on frame. Backing paper gone. Photo Mint. From the collection of Leroy T. Vernon, a campaign manager for Taft and later Washington D.C. reporter for the Chicago Daily News. Comes with Hake's COA.
