Item Description
Hake #279. This rare figural piece is 1-5/16" wide by 1-3/8" tall. The back of the piece is covered in tin with a small notch at the top holding a vertical stickpin. The front of the piece is designed as a horseshoe and it frames a celluloid insert with very nice detailed photo of TR in uniform posed before the artwork of an American flag. To the right of his ear there is a 3/16" diameter area with just the slightest hint of tone to the cream flag stripe. The rest of the celluloid is totally clean and the luster on the horseshoe frame is about 70% intact. The first example we've been able to offer in five decades. Rare.
