27x22." thin cardboard poster for Aug. 24-29, 1965 concerts that took place at Lexington West in Baltimore, MD that was headlined by Aretha Franklin (who is pictured at right) w/support from Judd Watkins and Andy Ennis and The New Lexington West Organ Combo. Additionally, local radio station WWIN's Hot Rod served as concert's MC. Printed by Globe Poster of Baltimore, MD. Aretha's songs listed include - "No, No I'm Losing You" and "Sweet Bitter Love." Two stars at lower corners have thick black outlines added and image of singer beside Judd Watkins name has .75x1.5" and 1.75x3" pieces of paper tape added w/some penciling on one. Additional smaller piece of paper tape added beside singer's feet. Some scattered moisture staining just below this area, along margin and at corner. Faint moisture stain at Aretha' photo image, though this blends and is only noticeable in black area below photo. Upper right has 6.25" strip of aged tape residue above "Aug. 29" and area of lighter aging as once covered. VG/Fine overall, but still very nice for display. All Aretha Franklin posters from this time period are rare and desirable. We sold a 1968 Aretha Franklin concert poster in our last auction for $3,478.
