Item Description
Original cardboard box w/illustrated lid contains toy made in Japan by Modern Toys, 1960s. 8" dia. tin litho saucer-like satellite w/opalescent white plastic covered cockpit comes w/rounded 2.25" dia. Styrofoam disc w/attached die-cut lithographed paper astronaut attached at center. Box lid shows obvious wear w/2.75" corner tear, punctures, creases and tape staining. Fair and just comes along. Working battery-operated functions include - flashing lights, bump-and-go action, lighted cockpit w/astronaut silhouettes and toy features flying saucer action as Styrofoam disc is propelled into the air from top of satellite dome. Satellite has a few edge nicks but is o/w VF/Exc. Astronaut piece has some wear to Styrofoam and is Fine.
