Item Description
Each about 2.25". First with Badge-A-Minit metal back is for convention of chubby men and chasers. They first formed as a social group in S.F. in 1976 with Boston group forming in 1977 and NYC in 1978. The first convention was circa 1977 and this 1980 button is the first we know of for a convention and well as the only example known to us. Equally rare is second button with fist  circa 1980 and also with Badge-A-Minit reverse. Third is for "San Francisco 1982 Gay Olympic Games". Last 4 with slogan "Liberty & Justice For All"  were all issued for "1980 Gay Freedom Day Parade & Celebration 29 June, San Francisco". Orange button has tiny background age barely showing but the other 3 have noticeable all over tan stain indicating it was perhaps a rainy day. All 4 retain full gloss. The first 3 are near mint, displaying Mint. From the Marshall Levin Collection. Comes with Hake's COA.
