Item Description
Five 3.5x6-3/8" advertising postcards for "The North American" each feature different full color scene on front, Jiggs on all five w/Maggie on two. ©1919. Unused and Exc. 4.75" tall Maggie and 4.25" tall Jiggs Multi Products figures are Exc. w/no breaks to fragile Maggie's ankles. ©1944. 8.75x11.25" hardcover reprint book w/dust jacket was published by Bonanza Books in 1973 and features 180 bw pages of comic strip reprints. Zeke Zekley was McManus' assistant 1935-1954 and on first blank page he has drawn a black felt tip pen sketch of Jiggs w/Maggie's poodle who has just gone to the bathroom as Jiggs says "Fifi, No-No! Not On Charlie's Front Steps!!" Art has been inscribed at lower right "For Friend, Charlie Roberts, All My Best! Zeke Zekley '88." Art was commissioned directly from Zekley. DJ shows wear w/.25" and 1.25" tears along top edge. Fine overall while rest of book is Exc.
