Item Description
1.75" with large text back paper naming maker as J.H. Shaw/Phila. About 20% of reverse collet has surface oxidation but of no consequence. Celluloid has slightest bit of tonal variation around the "1912" date with a few faint dots just above Taft's shoulder at left. There are also some faint touches of blue tone within the name panel which probably come from a little color bleed from the ribbon which extends on the back beneath the back paper All these marks are extremely subtle and the piece has high gloss and almost no surface wear. Gold text is faint on areas of the ribbon but the entire inscription can be easily read as "Prosperity And The Whole Republican Ticket/We Are Prosperous Under Taft/'Why Change?'" Don & Mildred Wright Collection.
