Item Description
Sizes are 1.5" down to 11/16". Items are all copper or brass with the exception of the one badge which is embossed tin. Group begins with large and heavy "Protection '96" portrait medal with Missouri state seal on the reverse and text "St. Louis Convention June 16, 1896." Holed as made. Very small edge dent at 7 o'clock and a little light general wear on the back but overall Very Good. Next is "Wm. McKinley For President" portrait medal with gorgeous eagle design on back and "Republican Candidate 1896." Tiny rub on his eyebrow but rest is essentially Mint. Next is rare embossed tin shell badge with horizontal bar pin on reverse. The front is brass toned as made and depicts eagle with text around "Protection To Home Industries/McKinley." Some loss of the brass color but still rare and Fine. Next is uniface token showing flag and with names "McKinley/Hobart." Fine. Next is form of a very early tab with small stem at top while circular part has portrait and text "For President Wm. McKinley." Reverse names Buffalo maker Heintz Bros. Much luster. Next is portrait and name token with reverse showing structure plus text "Laying Of Corner Stone/Post Office/Chicago October, 9th 1899." NM luster. Next with rim hole as made is token with portrait and name on the front while reverse has same eagle design as the second item in the lot and with same text "Republican Candidate 1900." Exc. Last is figural brass lapel stud in the shape of Napoleon's hat with inscription "Protection/96/McKinley." NM. Many seldom seen items.
