Item Description
7x10" softcover catalog w/28 pages. Published by Atlas Wire Products Co. of Kansas City, MO. Catalog promotes Atlas's various wire sales racks, including those used to display comic books and pulp magazines. Sections include - "Bench Type Displays, Comic Displays, Compete Line Displays, Counter Displays, Digest Displays, Floor Displays, Individual Pockets, Newspaper Displays, Pulp Displays, Spacer For Wood Shelves, Tabloid Displays, Wall Displays." Racks are pictured w/publications in place, including comic books and pulps of the era. Some of note include - "Action Comics" #3, "Detective Comics" #18, "More Fun Comics" #34; all from Aug. 1938. Other titles include - "King Comics, Adventure Comics, Feature Funnies" and others. The same covers are featured multiple times throughout. Pulps of note include - "Secret Agent X, Operator 5, Argosy, G-Men" and others. Comes w/insert slip, order form and two business reply cards. Cover has scattered moisture spotting at top and oxidation to staples, which shows through into interior. Fine overall. Rare as these catalogs (see following item #1607) saw limited distribution. Exceptional item for the comic historian.
