Item Description
The buttons range in size from the smallest 7/8" "Chicago Cubs" up to the largest 2.5" buttons for the Phillies and Cincinnati Reds. Additional buttons and hangers include three more for the Cubs, one for Milwaukee Braves, one for Brooklyn Dodgers, and one for Los Angeles Dodgers. Attachments include four large fielder gloves or catcher mitts. The second "Cubs" cloth covered button includes a large wooden bat with a built in whistle. The two other Cubs buttons have 4.5" celluloid baseball players, one a batter and one a player with glove and ball. This one has moveable arms. The L.A. Dodgers button holds a leather sheath with 4" knife. Colorful handle has slight paint wear. The Brooklyn Dodgers button is attached by cord to a 9.5" wooden bat with oval mark reading "World's Champions" plus "Made In U.S.A." In addition there is a vintage cardboard tag with typed inscription "Compliments Of Department Of New York/Ladies Auxiliary V.F.W./22nd Annual Encampment/Brooklyn, New York 1946."
