9.5x12-7/8" facsimile leather slipcase w/embossed foil-stamped title and Rocketeer profile contains deluxe leather cover "Brush With Passion: The Life & Art Of Dave Stevens" hardcover published by Underwood Books, ©2007 Dave Stevens. Book is a celebration of the career of comic book artist and illustrator known for creating The Rocketeer and for his Good Girl pin-ups, many of which featured Bettie Page. Sumptuously illustrated throughout w/him work, this book was a limited edition of 235 being signed by Stevens in black ink on first page. While this page notes that edition was to originally be 800, Stevens ill health and passing on March 11, 2008 shortened the edition to just 235 signed and numbered. This is 96/235 as noted on page signed by Stevens. Book comes w/letter from publisher explaining the discrepancy. This deluxe signed and numbered edition also featured an additional 16 pages in addition to the extra 16 pages offered in the Diamond Edition that is exclusive to the edition being offered here.
