Item Description
Original cardboard box w/illustrated lid contains 9" tall tin litho and hard plastic toy made in Japan by Horikowa, 1960s. Box is complete w/cardboard insert. Lid shows obvious wear w/numerous edge creases, corner tip wear and some scattered surface paper lifts. VG. Toy has detailed exterior including "United States - NASA" text and American flag. Toy works and features a number of actions - travels around w/flashing light, stopping every so often as a pair of doors open and center body of cap still spins. One door reveals circuitry w/plastic cover that blinks while other door reveals hard plastic astronaut figure seated next to console w/radar screen that lights up. Toy works. Tin body has some scattered minute pinpoint paint nicks/scratches. Appearance remains glossy and Exc. Great design and action.
