Item Description
Published in "Cracked" #133 in July 1976. Lot consists of complete six-page story on thin artboards measuring 13-5/8x17-5/8" w/India ink and ink wash original art by John Severin. "Welcome Back, Kutter" is a spoof of the popular "Welcome Back, Kotter" TV series. Pages feature six or seven panels, w/first page having paste-over title. All captions and word balloons feature paste-over text. Pages feature John Travolta's Barbarino character (w/test answers scribbled all over his body) as well as Horshack, Washington, Epstein and Mr. Kutter (Mr. Kotter); who does stand-up comedy act in middle of story and mentions George Carlin. Washington is having women issues and finds snow woman girlfriend on last page. Each page has inked note at top w/story name/page number and handwritten magazine title/issue number. First page is comprised of two sheets taped together at center (on reverse). Second page has paste-over onionskin square over second panel w/editorial notation. Margins have some editorial notes. Pages has some lt. even aging/handling wear but are VF/Exc. overall w/Exc. art. Superb and dense graphics throughout w/much humor and great likenesses.
