Item Description
Published in "Cracked" #132 in May 1976. Lot consists of complete four-page story on thin artboards measuring 14.25x17.75" w/India ink and ink wash original art by John Severin. "The Cracked Guide To Hockey" features humorous take on the history of hockey. First page features six panels below paste-over intro text and title, w/following pages each featuring nine panels. All captions and word balloons feature paste-over text. Some gags include - playing hockey in unfrozen lake, playing game like football, using the Stanley Cup as drinking glass, selecting proper gear/equipment, violence during games (including shooting), anthropomorphic hockey puck, etc. Each page has inked note at top w/story name/page number and handwritten magazine title/issue number. Margins have some editorial notes. Pages has some lt. even aging/handling wear but are VF/Exc. overall w/Exc. art. Superb and dense graphics throughout w/much humor.
