Item Description
13x16.5" thin artboard has pen and ink original art w/ink wash and screentone applied to panels. Art was produced for "Sick" satire magazine but is undated and most likely 1960s. Applied "Huckleberry Fink - The Thinker" title above complete six-panel cartoon showing Huckleberry carving Auguste Rodin's classic "The Thinker" sculpture, w/fourth panel showing Huckleberry chipping away at The Thinker's behind, which causes him to yelp in pain, grabbing the mallet away from Huckleberry and hitting him over the head w/it. Some scattered editorial notes along top margin. Pin holes at corners. Artboard has even aging but art remains clean and Exc.
