Item Description
7.5x11.5" on thin glossy paper. This was used for various games this season and utilized the same cover photos while specific game information was altered as needed. This one is for July 21st game held at Shibe Park (later known as Connie Mack Stadium) in Philadelphia, PA. The teams were Philadelphia Stars and KC Monarchs. Front cover photo is of Satchel Paige in his KC Monarchs uniform while back cover shows Josh Gibson of the Homestead Grays. Inside has "Official Line-Up" for both teams and players included: Henry Kimbro, Buck O'Neil, Willard Brown, Frank Duncan, Hilton Smith and Paige. This differs from a previous example we offered for another game as the inside is not just text but includes a photo of Stars pitcher Barney Brown. Unused score card. Very faint vertical center crease. Moderate aging and handling wear, faint traces of moisture to top/bottom margins. Photos remain sharp and clean. An exceptional Negro League artifact featuring two legendary players, both members of the National Baseball HOF.
