Item Description
Official Rawlings AL (Brown) baseball has been boldly signed in blue ink at the sweet spot by Judy Johnson (1899-1989). Johnson is considered one of the greatest third basemen in the Negro Leagues. In 1929, Johnson was named the Negro Leagues MVP by the "Chicago Defender" and "The Pittsburgh Courier." Retiring as a player in 1937, he went on to be a scout for several MLB teams. Johnson was inducted into the MLB Hall of Fame in 1975. Ball has some trace handling wear but signature remains bold and sharp. Exc. overall. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
